DC Goes Pink is an initiative by the DCCC in partnership with the DC Department of health to raise awareness about breast cancer and to sign up women for the DC Department of Health’s new, free Mammogram Reminder System.
DC Cancer Consortium’s community health program LATINO, which stands for “Let’s Act Together In New Opportunities”, aims to ease the burden of cancer in DC’s Hispanic community by focusing on issues that contribute to the diagnosis and spread of cancer. Some of the areas we focus on are health, nutrition, financial fitness, and medical accessibility.
Cancer Answers is a hotline to connect newly diagnosed cancer patients, those living with the disease, and their caregivers with a reassuring person who can answer questions and provide support.
